The children absolutely loved our school trip to The Chatham Dockyard. We explored HMS Cavalier, HMS Gannet and the submarine HM Ocelot. We also enjoyed learning about pirates in our pirate workshop aboard HMS Gannet and we had a tour of the ropery and even worked as a team to make a skipping rope.
Rowan class really enjoyed their visit from Jeremy and Wendy from the @guildhallmuseum. They are fascinated by different art forms and have loved using clay to make their own casts. We can’t wait for another visit from the team.
During Science Week, Sycamore Class are becoming Polar Explorers! We have investigated how insulation keeps us warm by recording how long we can keep our hand in icy water for with and without insulation. We have found out that a rubber glove filled with lard provides very good insulation!
